“I once thought that to feel better about something,
I needed to change it.
Then I realised I didn’t need to change IT at all,
I just needed to change
what I’m FOCUSING my attention on!”

Here Are The Ways I Change My Focus And Feel Better Quickly

MAKE PEACE WITH HOW I’M FEELING – Don’t expect or even try to feel loving and appreciative immediately. If I’m upset, depressed, afraid, angry, feeling powerless, vengeful or anything else in between I’m not even close to those more pleasant emotions. It’s better to allow myself to feel the anger, to feel the distress, to feel the turmoil until I’m REALLY READY to move on.

SLOW DOWN – Slow the energy down! It’s all going to be OK. Hope to feel better soon. Sometimes “hope” is the best feeling I can find for now. I’m simply aiming to feel a little better … Not striving for a quantum leap.

FIND RELIEF … in any way I can without judgment about how I do it. When I get relief I breathe deeper, I relax more and I make better choices.

JUST MAKE ONE DECISION – That I won’t make any OTHER decisions until I’m feeling more stable. My best decisions are always made when I’m feeling empowered, feeling aligned and feeling much better than I am right now.

STOP TALKING – Stop talking about the specific details of whatever’s happened and be more general about it. Remind myself how things have worked out before. If I’ve been talking for a while and haven’t yet found a better feeling attitude, silence usually soothes and settles the fast moving energy and calms my mood.

QUIETEN MY MIND – Meditate, go for a walk, sleep or do anything else to quieten my mind and vibrate in harmony with who I am when I’m feeling my best.

DISTRACT MYSELF COMPLETELY – Get off the subject. Stop trying to work on the problem … breathe the fresh air … drink more water … relax my shoulders … and allow the solution to be inspired. Watch a comedy, dance like a lunatic, move my body around, play in the park, go to the beach, take a bath, have a cold shower, light a candle. Once I find that relief, I begin to lighten up, I allow better things to come and the energy shifts …
